greek Beach reset before bansko nomad fest in bulgaria

Hello travel friend!

After a very well needed restful week in Greece, I was looking forward to being on my laptop again.

Reader, as a solopreneur + self-employed individual, it can be hard to take a break when you are your own boss, income provider + HR department for vacation days.

Long-term travel from the outside can look like a long-term vacation, but just as I showed in a recent ig reel, itโ€™s not. Taking proper vacation time to explore a new area, a local vacation spot for mostly Romanians, Hungarians, Bulgarians, + North Macedonians was a restful experience + interesting to experience that the common language they all used to speak to the Greeks was English (I think I had one of the only native english accents).

I was in the town of Sarti, Greece surrounded by crystal clear water beaches, affordable food options, space at restaurants + outdoor areas + it made me think how underrated the north part of Greece is for Westerners as we so often hear of only going to Mykonos, Athens or Santorini.

Following Sarti, it was a road trip back into Bulgaria heading north east to Bansko, which is a huge hub/town for Digital Nomads to attend one of the largest Digital Nomads festivals called Bansko Nomad Fest.

That being said I didnโ€™t purchase a festival ticket as Iโ€™m back to work, producing my next YouTube video, managing content creation + staying on top of my bookkeeping freelance clients. It still has been incredible to network with individuals from around the world often over food, who share a similar lifestyle + mutual understanding of location independent living.

Do you have any questions about the remote work or digital nomad lifestyle?

Send me a DM on (my new) Instagram with any questions that I can help answer or ask other nomads while Iโ€™m surrounded by over 700 of them!

Next week Iโ€™m off to country #28 + canโ€™t wait to explore the architecture that other travellers have been revving about!

Ciao for now,

Anna
