Back to Western Society in London, ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
Hello friends ๐๐ป
Iโm back in Canada after exploring Europe for 10 weeks where I:
Did 2 volunteer experiences with WorldPackers
Met more international friends
Reconnected with old relationships
Marked off visiting my 20th country, Greece!
Letโs rewind a bitโฆ
After staying two nights at cliffside hostel in Corfu, Greece I took a 3 hour flight to London, England to crash at my friend Gigiโs house. We met November 2022, doing a WorldPackers experience in Portugal! We instantly became two peas in a pod, likely relating culturally coming from commonwealth countries (๐จ๐ฆ + ๐ณ๐ฟ) + if youโre into astrology I think a Taurus + Scorpio make a good match. Iโll let you figure out which one I am though ๐
Iโve been home a week, trying to adapt to suburban life, a slower pace of social interactions + maintaining my self-discipline to keep up with my freelance work while adapting to jet leg + change in lifestyle.
Getting to visit a dog friendly local brewery patio with my dear friend Britney was a highlight moment returning!
Good news is, my bags are packed again (this time not with only carry-on!), thatโs because a road trip + a boat are involved in the next adventure, including some travel buddies ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง
Stay tuned to hear more about the adventure!
TRAVEL TIP
When I arrived in London my laptop was dead ๐ฌ For some this is not a big deal, but as a digital nomad it really can affect workflow. I didnโt have an international adapter with me + ended up purchasing a US to UK adapter at a corner store for ยฃ5.00 | $8.53CAD. It did the job, but donโt make the same mistake as I did + purchase an international adapter that can handle multiple countries + plugs. Thanks to some friends answering my question box on my Instagram story, here are some suggestions:
