Doing this for 7 days made me...
Hey travel friends,
It’s been 2 weeks since we last connected! How are you? Email me + share a high + low of your week, I genuinely want to know!
Last week I spent 7 days drinking Polish wine. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve indulged like this, however the Winobranie Festival in the small town of Zielona Góra was an amazing experience. Thanks to a travel friend who I know in real life and my community, they let me know about this unique event happening + I couldn’t miss the chance to drink wine, experience an event with a travel friend, who also knew Polish (a huge bonus!).
My schedule went a little something like this…
10 - 11am wakeup
Bakery breakfast
2 - 8pm ish work (1 on 1 calls, reviewing YouTube videos, ig story updates)
8 - late drinking wine from many different Polish wineries, enjoying the nightly free concert + connecting with english speakers in the small Polish town.
I highly recommend adding Winobranie to your schedule for next year. Even for a couple days it would be a great choice. And as a digital nomad, there’s not much more to see in the town, so if you’re staying longer it makes focusing on work in the daytime quite easy.
I’m now writing this email from Warsaw + have thoroughly enjoyed my stay so far.
The best thing has been jumping into the Hostelworld chat to connect with other solo travellers. Why did I not do this the last couple months?!
I’ve raved about Hostelworld being a fantastic search engine, + although the pricing can be slightly higher than booking directly, to access the group chat I think it’s worth it!
Also the Poland group in my travel community has led me to write this newsletter with other remote workers from a coffee shop this afternoon. The world feels incredibly welcoming when we have an open mind, trust our gut + pursue what we want, even if that means a productive work afternoon.
Ciao for now,
